It has been a year of rapid growth for neo-Boogie front runners Silver Linings. Melbourne band-scene heavies Au Dré (Audrey Powne & James Bowers) blast onto the gulf with their debut vinyl release in sync with Record Store Day. Late in 2016 they launched a self-titled, self-released CD that smashed the barriers of both time and taste with a boogie-fuelled, synth-pop jaunt through decidedly jazzy landscapes. Fronted by Melbourne’s Françoise d’Argent and Benny Badge, “So Good To You” showcases an evolution for Silver Linings and the duo’s signature Soul-Boogie sound. Following their debut on Gulf Point with 2014’s “Sleepless”, Benny made the sketches for “So Good To You” during an extended pit stop in Manchester. From here he returned with a sound palette affected heavily by the rainy city’s disposition for synthetically fused Jazz and electronic music.
